SRINAGAR: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) has issued an order aimed at addressing the issue of uniform non-compliance among police personnel.
“It has been observed that Police officers/ officials performing duties are wearing different patterns of uniforms items viz T-shirts beret cap, shoes etc which is against uniform pattern of Police department beside presents bad impression as well. The matter has been viewed seriously by senior officers and needs to be complied,” reads the order.
The directive mandates that all officers to adhere strictly to the prescribed uniform standards. “Any deviation into the matter shall be viewed seriously.”
