Ameliorating the grievances of the public should be taken up expeditiously,” Mir said.
IGP stressed upon the need for better policing and improving the police-public relations.
He said that better police public relations is the back bone of professional policing that is requisite for delivering better services to the public. “There is a great scope for improving the behavior of police vis a vis the members of public and conceded that there is a need for attitudinal change in police,” he said adding that better police public relation can be garnered by adapting the soft skills in a better way.
