Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Swayam Prakash Pani accompanied by DIG SKR Amit Kumar and SSP Shopian Shriram Ambarkar Dinkar Saturday visited Shopian and took stock of the situation in the area.
“At length challenges for policing were discussed with the district police administration. IGP instructed the men to stress on professional policing. He also inspected some of the developmental work undertaken by the district police in terms of infrastructure building,” the statement issued by Police said.
During the visit besides police officials, he met DC Shopian and other officials of CPMF as well.
During his visit, the IGP gave instructions to the police officers to follow proper SOPs while dealing with any law and order situation and enhance the joint training capabilities to address difficult scenarios, reads the statement.
