SRINAGAR: Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced a new brownfield project under its Gateway brand in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, further strengthening its presence in the Valley’s hospitality sector, industry sources said.
The upcoming resort, developed in collaboration with Cemtac Cements, will feature 64 rooms along with a range of luxury amenities including an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a heated pool, spa, gym, and health club. The property will also offer banqueting facilities spread over 2,000 square feet, catering to small gatherings and events.
Suma Venkatesh, executive vice-president of real estate and development at IHCL, said the project aligns with the company’s growth strategy. “With its pristine landscapes and rich cultural heritage, Pahalgam’s appeal spans across leisure, spiritual, adventure and eco-tourism segments, making it a compelling destination for today’s traveller. This signing is in line with IHCL’s strategy to tap into high-potential destinations that offer both scenic beauty and a strong tourism ecosystem.
