The administration has expunged illegal entries for 29,041 kanals of state and kacharai land from revenue records, the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza said on Thursday.

He said the illegal entries have been cancelled and expunged from revenue records of five tehsils of the district — totalling an area of 29,041 kanals and 14 marlas of land including 4,945 kanals and 14 marlas of Kahcharie land and 13,646 kanals and 10 marlas of state land in tehsil Bandipora, 688 kanals and 11 marlas of Kahcharie land and 1,993 Kanals and 17 marlas of state land in tehsil Aloosa,  154 kanals and one marla of Kahcharie and 1,065 Kanals and 11 marlas of state land in Ajas tehsil, 1,785 Kanals and 12 marlas of Kahcharie and 1,090 Kanals and two marlas of state land in Hajin tehsil, 2,444 Kanals and 15 marlas of Kahcharie and 1227 Kanals and two marlas of state land in Sumbal tehsil.

The DC said a comprehensive audit of revenue record has been initiated in all tehsils of the district in compliance with directions of the Financial Commissioner, Revenue.  He said the process of expunging the illegal entries was going on. He said strict instructions have been passed to field officers to cancel all illegal entries.
