SRINAGAR: Continuing its action against drug peddlers, Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla on Thursday said to have attached property belonging to a notorious drug peddler in the district.
A police spokesman in a statement, said that a property (Residential house worth approx. Rs. 23.00 lacs) belonging to a notorious drug peddler namely Mohd Sabir Barwal son of Faqeer Ali resident of Jabda Kamalkote at present Laghama Uri was attached.
The action was taken under sections 68-E read with 68-F (1) of NDPS Act of 1985 & is linked with case FIR No. 17/2022 u/s 8/21 & 29 NDPS Act of PS Uri, the spokesman said, adding that the property was identified as illegally acquired property during the course of investigation and enquiry conducted by Police.
