To uphold the directions of Supreme Court regarding ban on black/tinted glasses, Superintendent of Police, Traffic, Srinagar has said that no vehicle except official vehicles allotted by police department, state motor garage, Judges of J&K High Court and the head of Statutory Bodies/Commissions of Z and Z + Category protectee shall be allowed to use tint/black films.
However according to the statement, no such exemption shall be applicable in respect of private vehicles of Z and Z + category protectee’s including the escort vehicles forming part of cavalcade of said protected person.
Moreover, the department has requested general public to inform the traffic police authority on the following Phone Numbers, 0194-2450022, 0194-2485396, if any vehicle having black film/tinted glass found plying on road so that action under law will be taken against the violator.
