Police arrested an imposter posing as a Sub-Inspector along with his associate who was extorting money from people.
According to police spokesman, police on a tip off arrested an imposter Javid Ahmad War, resident of Warpora Sopore posing as a Sub-Inspector in village Shedipora, Drugmulla Kupwara who was demanding money from the villagers.
His other associate Reyaz Ahmad War, resident of Warpora, Sopore accompanying him was also apprehended on spot. However, his third associate Javid Ahmad Khanday, resident of Sopore managed to escape from the spot along with the Santro car bearing Reg. No. JK01L/7805. Police has launched a man hunt to arrest him.
Police has registered a case FIR No. 07/201, and have initiated an investigation.
