SRINAGAR: Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, his Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan has confirmed on Saturday. Interestingly, he tested positive two days after he was given the first of the two doses of Covid-19 vaccination, Pakistani media reported.

Khan is now isolation. Pakistan newspaper, Express Tribune quoted Dr Faisal Javed saying that the cricketer PM was experiencing “mild symptoms” and will continue to work from home while remaining in isolation.

Pakistan is reporting a sharp rise in the Covid-19 cases. Pakistan has lost 13799 people to the pandemic so far. Right now it has nearly 30, 000 active cases of which more than 2000 are critical.
