SRINAGAR: Peoples Conference leader Sajad Lone announced that his wife, Asma Lone, has recovered from Covid-19 after staying admitted at the Holy Family Hospital Delhi. He used Twitter to make the announcement.

“MY kids are in Delhi and their mother had come to see them when she contracted the infection,” Lone told Kashmir Life from Delhi. “But the doctors were extremely great and they did whatever it required to help her come out of it,” Lone said they are in the process of shifting to their Delhi residence, post Covid-19 negative test that has already come.
Mr and Mrs Asma Khan Lone have two sons. She was earlier teaching at a Delhi University. She is currently working on a book on the history, state, and status of Gilgit. A University of Cambridge graduate, she has previously taught as an Assistant Professor at Jindal School of International Affairs (JSIA), Jindal Global University, India. She has also worked on various projects on Kashmir with Conciliation Resources, UK and had a stint at the Institute of Strategic Studies, Islamabad (ISSI), Pakistan. Her book The Great Gilgit Game is due this season from PenguinBooks.
