A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Katra town of Reasi district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Identified as Manoj Kumar, the CRPF personnel was found dead last night inside CRPF camp at Dirthi in Katra, police sources said. He was on way to Humhama in Srinagar for training and had come from Ajmer. “As per the preliminary investigations, it might be a case of suicide but we are investigating the matter,” police said.
In another incident, army rifleman Chander Mohan Sharma of 28 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) died of accidental discharge of fire from his service rifle while he was on a protection duty in Kupwara district of the state, defence spokesman said on Tuesday.
