Much to the embarrassment to ruling PDP’s Batamaloo legislator, Sheikh Noor Muhammad, participants during a meeting organized by the party at Lawaypora in the outskirts of Srinagar city appealed the supporters “not to attend November 7 Narendra Modi’s rally”.
The debutant lawmaker, who himself resides at Lawaypora, Sheikh was present on the stage when some of the speakers told the supporters of PDP in Batamaloo constituency that they “should not and will not attend the Modi’s rally”.
When contacted by CNS, MLA Batamaloo said, “everyone has right to express his personal opinion.”
However, he said, “as a party leader and being the part of the government, I along with my supporters will attend Modi’s rally on November 7.”
