Kashmir PHE Joint Employees Association on Tuesday said that all the PHE offices, viz direction offices, circle, Divisional and Sub-divisional shall remain closed on September 27th, in Kashmir province in support of long pending demands of the PHE employees.
The pending demands include the release of pending earned wages, submission of information as per SRO-520 and against the “callous approach” of the government towards the grave issue.
According to the latter issued by the association: “no office work shall be carried out in any of the above-mentioned offices of the department.”
The department has been protesting against the delay in their salaries from past many months. “We are not getting our monthly honorarium from past 18 months. The government is pushing hundreds of casual labours, need base workers and daily rated employees to face hardships,” an employee, Mushtaq-Ul-Islam said.
The protestors also said that delaying the monthly honorarium has led them to face the immense hardships. The employees have also appealed the Governor to intervene in the issue.
