SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday said he remained in continuous touch with Union Home Minister Amit Shah over several issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir, including restoration of statehood and business rules.
Speaking to reporters, Omar said there were several issues between Jammu and Kashmir and the Centre.
“Be it about statehood or business rules, I keep in touch with the Home Minister,” he said.
He said the J&K Cabinet’s response on the reservation issue had been prepared but was yet to be sent to the Centre.
Omar also said the post of Advocate General had remained vacant for nearly two years.
“So, there were many issues that I raised before the Home Minister,” he said.
Omar had recently met Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, where he discussed several issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir.
