Atleast 21 IAS and 72 KAS officers in Jammu and Kashmir have been transferred since the new government took over in the state on March 1.

Details revealed to local news agency KNS that on March 15,  there were as many as 43 IAS, KAS and other under secretaries and secretaries were transferred by the General Administration Department (GAD) under order number 364-GAD of 2015. On the very same day, 18 IAS, 25 KAS officers from the important departments of were transferred.

On same date, March 15, major overhaul in the police was done in which several senior police officials were transferred.  On March 16, the GAD issued three different orders under 366, 371 and 374-GAD of 2015. Two under secretaries, two private secretaries and 4 KAS officers were transferred.

On March 18, under 492-GAD of 2015, four more private secretaries were shifted from their posts. On March 18, under 492-GAD of 2015, four more private secretaries were shifted from their posts.  On March 20, eight more private secretaries were shifted from their posts.

On March 26, under order number 463-GAD of 2015, five private secretaries in civil administration were shifted from their places of posting. Another order 489-GAD of 2015 issued on March 31, 12 KAS officers and other senior officials were transferred. On the same date two senior officers of the IAS cadre were transferred under order number 484-GAD of 2015.

On April 6 under government order 513 of GAD- two KAS officers were transferred. On April 9, four secretaries were shifted to other places from their posts. Similarly, on April 9 under 516-GAD of 2015 34 senior officials were ordered to shift from their respective places of posting.

Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed during the first meeting of his council of ministers passed directions to the GAD to prepare a list of the officials who were found involved in the alleged corrupt practices.
