Srinagar
The incessant rains from past 10 hours damaged an important bridge in Tangmarg area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district in the intervening night of June 11-12.

The bridge connects 14 villages of Tangmarg including Chanderhama, Check, Changel, Wanigam, Kulhama, Darhama, Buderkote, Ringawari, Gogaldore, Darakashi, Mushikhur, Zandpal and Ganiwani with the national highway.

According to the locals, there is no alternative to reach the national highway in case of an emergency.  Meanwhile, overnight winds and continuous downpour caused huge damage to infrastructure in other parts of the valley too. The electricity supply is also affected in many places.
