The annual Amarnath Yatra resumed on Sunday after the suspension of two consecutive days due to the flood-like situation in Kashmir.

The Yatries from both the Baltal and Pahalgam route were allowed to move towards the holy cave. At the base camp in Baltal, Yatra was allowed to move around 7: 00 in the morning.

Due to the flood-like situation in Kashmir, authorities had decided to suspend the Yatra till the situation gets normal. However, hundreds of Amarnath pilgrims have left from Baltal base camp to start the 16-kilometer long trek on today morning. While pilgrims were also seen leaving from Nunwan, base camp in Pahalgam.
