SRINAGAR: Dr Rubeena Bhat, Incharge of the Resident Doctors Association (RDA) at SKIMS Soura, urged the concerned authorities on Tuesday to establish examination centers in Srinagar for the upcoming DM/MCh courses’ examination for MD/MS doctors.

Dr Rubeena stated that the DM/MCh course examinations are scheduled for 9th and 10th September 2023, and she has received numerous requests from MD/MS doctors to arrange examination centers in Srinagar.

“Due to the non-availability of centers in Srinagar for the National Board of Examinations, aspirants are forced to choose centers in other states to appear for admissions in DM/MCh courses,” said Dr Rubeena.

She further explained that some aspirants were unable to appear for the examination last year because of centers located in other states.

“We are requesting the concerned authority to establish examination centers in Srinagar, which would address the concerns of the aspirants and save their time and effort in traveling to other states for the examination,” she added.

Rubeena also sought the intervention of the LG administration in this matter and expressed that the absence of examination centers in Srinagar is inexplicable, as there seems to be no valid reason for such a decision. (CNS)
