SRINAGAR: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Wednesday issued a travel advisory for Indians in Nepal, urging them to remain indoors and defer any travel until the situation in the neighbouring country stabilises.
In its advisory, the MEA cautioned Indian nationals against venturing out on the streets and advised them to “shelter in their current places of residence and exercise all due caution.”
The ministry further instructed citizens to adhere to safety advisories issued by Nepalese authorities as well as updates from the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.
For emergency assistance, the MEA has provided two helpline numbers +977-980 860 2881 and +977-981 032 6134—both of which are also available on WhatsApp.
