The ruling National conference has come down heavily on the government of India by stating that Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have made heinous crime by killing innocents in Shopian and now it is the duty of centre government to punish them. The party also urged the GOI to start serious dialogue to resolve the Kashmir issue.

“Nobody is above the law. CRPF have made heinous crime by killing innocents, now it is the duty of centre government to punish them. Centre is non-serious regarding the situation in Kashmir. It should understand the gravity of the circumstances that has been created by the Shopian killings. They should be hard at the security forces to use unaccountable force,” Additional general secretary Dr Mustafa Kamal told KNS.

“Government of India has made Kashmir as laboratory where they are always busy in experimenting the new things but let me clear it to the centre that if it will not address basic issue the fire of stone pelting and protests cannot be stopped, “he said.

“They cannot change the thought of the youth by killings them as the youth of Kashmir is angry and want permanent solution of Kashmir issue, “he said.

Meanwhile Senior National conference leader and Member Parliament Dr Mehboob Beg told KNS that until and unless the core issue is not resolved GOI cannot win the hearts of angry people. If the Government of India is sincere towards the Kashmir issue then they should start serious dialogue to address the issue .The government of India should realize that they cannot connect the financial packages and music concerts with the deep rooted sentiments of the Kashmiri people.

Commenting on the Shopian killings Beg said, “Government of India should take serious note of the killings of Shopian and punish the guilty if it really wants to the peace to return.
