India Closes Airspace to Pakistani Flights After Pahalgam Attack

   

SRINAGAR: India has closed its airspace to aircraft registered, operated, owned, or leased by Pakistani airlines following the recent Pahalgam attack. The restriction applies to both civil and military aircraft.

A Notice to Air Mission (NOTAM) issued by India on Wednesday reads that Pakistani aircraft are barred from entering Indian airspace from April 30 to May 23, 2025.

Last week, Pakistan closed its airspace to flights owned and operated by Indian carriers. On Wednesday (April 30, 2025), Pakistan’s national airline cancelled flights to and from Gilgit, Skardu, and other areas in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, citing security concerns, according to local media.
