SRINAGAR: The armies of India and Pakistan on Thursday exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Machil sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Army’s Srinagar based spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia in a statement said on June 25, 2020, Pakistan initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation (CFV) along the LoC in Machil sector by firing mortars and other weapons..
“The soldiers manning the fence also responded the fire strongly,” he said.
However, there were no immediate reports of any damage from either side.
