Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) President and MLA Langate Engineer Rashid while terming the hue and cry raised by Government of India, Political parties and Indian Media over the release of separatist leader Masrat Alam as a paragon of fascist tendencies has blasted the voices opposing release of Masrat Alam.
Er Rashid, “ After seeing this Jingoistic attitude by Indian Central Government, India Media and by its political Spectrum over the release of Masrat Alam it is high time that Kashmiri leadership be it mainstream or separatist unite and forge a united voice to fight for the genuine interests of browbeaten nation of Kashmir.”
He said, “It is disappointing on part of Government of India and other political parties to raise false pitch over this issue and one wonders how they can come to terms in solving the political dispute of Jammu & Kashmir.”
While condemning the Indian media for “playing a fascist” role, Rashid said, “Indian media is flowing an ultra-national policy and is indulging in hateful, lopsided and venomous reporting and tampering with basic ground realities. Indian media has stooped so low that is frequently violating all the basic rules and regulation and bringing bad name to respected profession of Journalism and by adopting all these tactics Indian media has become the biggest threat to Sovereignty of India.”
