SRINAGAR: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Western Region Pipelines (WRPL), has invited applications from retired Police Officers for the role of Security Chief on a contractual basis for its operations in Maharashtra, specifically in the areas of Manmad, Ahmednagar, or Solapur. The application deadline is February 16, 2024.
Applicants who have retired from the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) or equivalent positions within Central and State Governments are eligible.
The corporation underscores the importance of a clean service record and high fitness levels for applicants, with a preference for those who have a legal background or experience in intelligence, crime control, and investigation cases, particularly in the petroleum sector or pipeline industry.
The selected candidate will be responsible for devising security strategies, emergency response, and coordinating with local law enforcement to secure the cross-country pipelines that traverse through Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
Key dates include the last date of receipt of the application on February 28, 2024, the date for personal interaction on March 7, 2024, and contract commencement on March 15, 2024. The contract duration is initially for one year, extendable up to three years based on performance and requirements.
The position provides a monthly salary of Rs 60,000, with a possible 3 per cent annual increment based on performance along with additional benefits such as a vehicle for patrolling, mobile facilities, and travel allowances for official duties.
