SRINAGAR: An Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) manager was found dead in the Sempora area of Pantha Chowk, Srinagar, on Saturday morning in an apparent case of suicide, officials said.
An official said that Yashpal Singh, Manager of the Indian Oil Corporation at Sempora, was found hanging inside the IOC premises on Saturday morning.
On receiving information about the incident, a police team from Police Station Pantha Chowk rushed to the spot and took cognisance of the matter.
Police have initiated legal proceedings and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the death, the official added. (JKNS)
