SRINAGAR: Indian Railways will operate 18,262 summer special train trips across the country over a three-month period to manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic and ensure smoother travel during the peak season, the Ministry of Railways said.

According to the Ministry, a total of 908 summer special trains have been approved for operation between April 15 and July 15 this year. These services will collectively undertake 18,262 trips to accommodate increased passenger demand during the summer rush.
Officials said the move aims to enhance travel convenience and ensure hassle-free movement for passengers by deploying additional train services on high-demand routes across the railway network.
