SRINAGAR: An IndiGo flight bound for Imphal was forced to return to Delhi shortly after take-off on Thursday due to a technical issue, officials have said.
“A minor technical snag was detected soon after take-off on flight 6E 5118 operating from Delhi to Imphal. As a precautionary step, the pilots decided to turn back and landed safely at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi,” IndiGo spokesperson said as per NDTV report.
However, no injuries were reported, and passengers were provided assistance during the delay. The airline has not disclosed the specific nature of the technical issue. “In line with mandatory procedures, the aircraft underwent necessary checks and resumed the journey shortly thereafter,” said an IndiGo spokesperson.
Earlier on Tuesday, an IndiGo flight from Delhi-Goa was hampered prompting an emergency landing in Mumbai after experiencing an engine issue mid-air.
