Srinagar
Army on Thursday said that it foiled an infiltration bid by militants along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu.
There were no casualties in the incident and the militants were forced to retreat back, reports quoting officials said.
“Army troops opened fire on a group of militants attempting to sneak into our territory and forced them back across the Line of Control in Mendhar sector of Poonch district,” the official said.
Army has launched a combing operation in the area to ensure that none of the militants manages to get in.
