SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday said that an infiltration bid was foiled by neutralising an militant along the Line of Control in Tangdhar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Kashmir zone police in a Tweet, as per informed that Army and Kupwara police had jointly launched an operation in Amrohi area of Tangdhar near the Line of Control.
Police said during the operation one terrorist was killed and infiltration bid was foiled.

In a separate development, police said they retrieved the corpse of a slain militant in Rajouri area where a vast stretch is in a cordon. The militant was reported killed yesterday in the initial exchange of fire between the two sides.
