Chairman Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani while reiterating his complete shutdown call on May 30, in District Shopian on 4th  anniversary of Asiya and Neelofar said, “Nation striving for noble mission never forget  sacrifices  presented and said incident was a grave crime against the joint conscience of people of Jammu and Kashmir.”Geelani

As per a statement Geelani Wednesday said that some influential persons ,hidden hands and agencies are providing shelter and support to  tainted peer Gulzar Ahmad and added that not only the swindler but the parents of those girls are equally responsible who without any sense and assessment admitted their wards in his so called religious  institution. Geelani expressed his serious concern that some state agencies and influential persons in a bid to save fake peer and to hush-up the infamous sex scandal are providing him every possible support. “We will confront it tooth and nail”, declared Geelani and added that “It is matter of serious concern for us that instead of following the fundamentals of Islam, Muslims are indifferent towards their true faith and follow self made rituals and believe superstitions.”

“It is ridiculous that people follow their self made faith and hand over their wards to these tainted peers and quacks,” added Geelani while rejecting the claims that the case relates to any particular sector school of thought. He disagreed with the idea and said that it has nothing to do with any particular person, sect or thought.

“Agencies in state are providing support and promoting the waywardness and the close affiliations and nexus between the state sponsored clerics and bureaucrats prove that the matter is serious enough  and not only our faith but present freedom movement is prime target for  these wicked   forces,” reads the statement.
