Adil Lone, 25, a resident of Shamsipora Islamabad, continues to be critical in the intensive care unit (ICU) of SKIMS, Soura. He was injured in Kulgam on April 11.

“He is sedated and on a ventilator,” one of the doctor’s treating him confirmed to Kashmir Life. “He has edema in the brain but this time we can say he is stable.”

Adil was brought to SKIMS in critical injury on both sides of his head. “He had a shell injury on one side and on the second side of his head, he had firearm injury. He had had a fracture in a Temporoparietal bone. But early intervention helped in treating him.”

While talking about other patients in the hospital who were also injured on Wednesday, doctors said all of them all stable.

Meanwhile, another patient, Muhammad Amir Lone, 22, son of Abdul Hamid Lone of Chatragul who was injured in Kangan area of Ganderbal on April 03 after the death of Gowhar, is also in the same ICU. But doctors said he is conscious and out of danger now. “We have not shifted him to any ward yet but he is responding well to the treatment.”

Amir had a shell injury on his head which led to the extradural haematoma (EDH) of his brain.
