An inter-ministerial meeting was held in New Delhi Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday to review the situation in Kashmir, reports said.

Reports said that HM is scheduled held another meeting later in the day  to also review the implementation of development package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for restive state.


Officials of the Home Department, Intelligence Bureau, Central Reserve Police Force and Border Security Force attended the meeting reports said.

The meeting comes after situation in Kashmir is tense. Government has also banned social media for one month.

Pertinently on Thursday militants attacked on an Army camp in Kupwara that led to the death of three army personnel including an officer. Two militants were killed in the attack.
