Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued by the party on Wednesday said that humans asking for a dignified life, self-determination and freedom are facing the wrath of rulers, but the irony is that instead of delivering justice to them, they are being undermined.

While strongly condemning the ban on Shopian Chalo program by JRL and barring resistance leaders Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Umar Farooq and others from marching towards Shopian where they had to attend a congregational prayers meeting for those who were killed, he said that on one day the government announces allowing political activities but on other they ban and forcefully stop even the tiniest activities.

The spokesman said that 18, Kashmiris were killed and hundreds were injured but the government and their Kashmiri stooges are backed by laws like AFSPA, first, kill and maim humans and then clamp curfew and restrictions, a spree of arrests and nocturnal raids to halt any mourning or protests.

He said that Gowhar Ahmed, a resident of Kangan who was killed in forcing firing was innocent and after killing him, the government is not even accepting their crime.
