To the surprise of every one in Kashmir, mobile phone and mobile internet services remained unblocked on this year’s Republic Day Monday.
This is for the first time after the introduction of internet and mobile phone service in Kashmir that it was not blocked on January 26.
“The situation has changed now a lot so we decided not to block mobile internet and phone services this year,” a police officer told Kashmir Life.
He added that the roads around the Bakhshi Stadium were also not blocked for the people.
