Srinagar

In the backdrop of the attack on CRPF convoy that claimed the life of 49 troopers, the mobile internet in Kashmir valley was suspended last evening.

The internet services were suspended soon after the videos clips of Kashmiris being either attacked or asked to leave outside Kashmir, mostly in north Indian states appeared on social media. However, broadband services are working through with slow speed.

In Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttrakhand and other states of the country, many Kashmiri students and traders were asked to leave the place. Meanwhile, the curfew in Jammu continued on the third day. Earlier the mob in Jammu had attacked many Kashmiris and properties worth lakhs were damaged.

Expressing concern over the shortage of essential commodities including baby food and medicine, the Kashmiri Darbar employees currently residing in Jammu have also appealed Divisional Commissioner Jammu for making special arrangement for supply of essential commodities in the areas.

Fearing attacks, the employees also sought the safe and secure transport facilities from Jammu to Srinagar for them.
