SRINAGAR: Iranian authorities have released Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi on bail on health grounds and transferred her to a hospital in Tehran, according to her foundation and legal representatives.

Her foundation said Mohammadi, who had been receiving treatment for around 10 days at a hospital in Zanjan, was granted a suspension of her sentence on substantial bail due to her deteriorating health condition.
It said she was transported by ambulance to Tehran Pars Hospital, where she is now under the care of her own medical team.
Her lawyer, Mostafa Nili, confirmed that she was released from the Zanjan hospital on Sunday after the suspension of her sentence for medical treatment and was subsequently moved to Tehran for further care.
Mohammadi’s husband, Taghi Rahmani, also confirmed her transfer to Pars Hospital in a post on social media platform X.
