Opposition Congress legislator from Nubra, Deldan Namgial on Tuesday angrily asked in the Lower House whether Leh was Tihar jail and employees transferred there consider it as a “punishment”.
A BJP MLA said that when Masters are promoted as lecturers in education department they are being transferred to Leh.
This infuriated Deldan, who asked: “Is Leh district Tihar Jail?”
The legislator said that 21 lecturers were transferred from Leh, and till now only one lecturer has been posted. (KNS)
