J&K Congress Sunday cautioned the people about the “false promises” being made by ruling PDP for the “sake of victory” in Islamabad By-Elections and urged upon the people “to defeat the PDP for facilitating the RSS establishment in the State”.

Addressing public meetings at Sarnal and Khanabal today, JKPCC Chief G A Mir while blaming PDP for “using official machinery and other methods to influence” the voters of Islamabad in order to “ensure” victory of Ms Mehbooba Mufti, he said, “PDP is desperate about the outcome of election results, for the fact it (PDP) has lost the people’s mandate due to its utter failure on all fronts.”

“PDP and BJP are conspiring to influence the voters of Islamabad by making false promise about their development and wellbeing, but the fact remains that people of the State are aware about what PDP has given to the people,” he said.

He felt confident that people of Islamabad will not forget the unfulfilled promises and tall claims made by the PDP earlier during their election campaign. “The coalition partners have let down the people and never cared about   their aspirations and emotions.”

Accusing PDP of “not addressing the issues concerning people”, PCC Chief said, “Congress Party shall make the government accountable, answerable to people and will seek the fulfilment of promises by the coalition partners.”

Appealing people to vote for the Congress Candidate Hilal Ahmad Shah, PCC Chief said, “it is the Congress Party alone that stands guarantee to overall development of the people.”
