In its initiative to reach people at their door steps, Directorate General of Indian Systems of medicine J&K Thursday held a mega medical camp in Srinagar.
According to an official of ISM, the team comprising of ten doctors held a mega medical camp at Gassi Mohalla, Safakadal in Srinagar.
“Over 1000 patients visited our camp who were given medical advice by our doctors,” Dr Riyaz Ahmad said adding, “medicine of over Rs one lakh was too distributed among them.”
Giving further information, the official said that this is a monthly affair of the ISM. “We hold 10 small medical camps in schools and Anganwari centres where students are given medical aid and awareness as well.
Pertinent to mention here, Deputy Director Dr Ashiq Bukhari inaugurated the camp who was accompanied BMO, IEC Srinagar district, Incharge of the ISM camp Dispensary Gassi Mohalla.
