SRINAGAR: An ITBP jawan from Pathankot died of a cardiac arrest in Udhampur district of Jammu division on Thursday.
An official said the jawan, identified as Didhar Singh, a resident of Pathankot, was travelling from Pathankot to Srinagar when he fell unconscious inside a bus near Dramthal, close to Prem Mandir on the National Highway.
He was shifted to CHC Chenani, where doctors declared him brought dead. The body was later moved to the mortuary at Chenani for legal and medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation. (JKNS)
