SRINAGAR: Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora, is inviting applicants for admission to the postgraduate programme through CUET – PG 2024. The last date for online submission of the application form is January 24, 2024, up to 11:50 pm.
The available programmes at IUST include MSc Statistics, MCA, MSc Information Technology, MTech Food Technology, MSc Chemistry, MSc Physics, MA Political Science, MA Arabic Language & Literature, MA English Language & Literature, MA Economics, MA International Relations (P and CS), MA Journalism and Mass Communication, MA Islamic Studies, MBA, and MBA–International Business.
For eligibility in MSc Statistics, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution with Mathematics/Statistics/Applied Mathematics as one of the core subjects in at least 04 semesters/02 Years at UG level OR BSc Actuarial and Financial Mathematics.
For eligibility in MCA, the candidates must have passed BCA OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering OR BSc/BCom/BA with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 10+2 Level or at Graduation Level with a minimum of 50 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution.
For eligibility in MTech Food Technology, the candidates must have a minimum of 55 per cenr marks from a recognized University/Institution.
For eligibility in MSc Information Technology, the candidates must have a Degree with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution in any of the following: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject OR BSc having Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level OR BSc having Mathematics/Physics/Computer Science/IT or any relevant Computer-related recognized subject as one of the subjects in at least 04 semesters/02 Years at UG level OR BTech/BE.
For eligibility in MSc Chemistry, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution with Chemistry as one of the subjects in at least 04 semesters/02 Years at UG level OR BSc Hons Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry OR BE/BTech Chemical Engineering.
For eligibility in MSc Physics, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects in at least 04 semesters/02 Years at UG level OR BE/B Tech (with Physics and Mathematics as subjects for at least two semesters/one year) OR BSc Hons Physics.
For eligibility in MA Political Science, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution with Political Science as one of the subjects in at least 04 semesters/02 Years at UG level.
For eligibility in MA Arabic Language & Literature, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution with Arabic as one of the subjects in at least 04 semesters/02 Years at UG level OR having Aalimayat/Fazilah degree with 10+2 of the approved Madrasas.
For eligibility in MA English Language & Literature, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution with English Literature as one of the subjects in at least 04 semesters/02 Years at UG level OR BA Hons English.
For eligibility in MA economics, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution with Economics/Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects in at least 04 semesters/02 Years at UG level OR Four Years Engineering Degree OR Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural/Horticultural OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration OR Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce OR BSc Actuarial and Financial Mathematics
For eligibility in MA International Relations (P and CS), MA Journalism and Mass Communication, MA Islamic Studies, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 45 per cent marks from a recognized University/Institution.
For eligibility in MBA and MBA– International Business, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks from a recognized University/MBA–International Business Institution. The order of preference for selection shall be 1. CMAT 2. MAT 3. CUET-PG 2024.
