SRINAGAR: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) invites online applications from eligible candidates for the positions of five Associate Professors and six Assistant Professors.
The deadline for submitting online application forms is March 11, 2024, while the deadline for hard copy submissions is March 18, 2024.
Candidates can apply for positions in the Department of Architecture, Planning and Geomatics, Environment Sustainability and Climate Change, Centre for Vocational Studies, and Centre for Disaster Risk Reduction.
Candidates applying to the Department of Architecture should hold a bachelor’s degree in Architecture or its equivalent, along with a master’s degree in architecture or allied subjects, with a minimum of 60 percent marks at either level.
Applicants to the Centre for Vocational Studies will be selected from diverse fields of study, including science, social science, or humanities.
Candidates applying to the Department of Disaster Risk Reduction must possess a master‘s degree with 55 percent marks in Disaster Management, Geology, Geoinformatics, Geography, Earth Sciences, or Earthquake Engineering.
Candidates applying to the Department of Environment Sustainability and Climate Change must hold a master‘s degree with 55 percent marks in Environmental Science, Forestry, Climate change, Meteorology, Geology, Geo-informatics, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Physics, or Environmental sustainability.
Applicants must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission or the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, such as SLET/SET, or hold a PhD degree awarded by the UGC.
Candidates are required to apply online through the university website and pay a fee of 1000 INR as an application fee through online mode.
The hard copy of the application form, supported by self-attested copies of all relevant documents, certificates, and testimonials, must be submitted to the office of the Registrar by March 18, 2024.
