SRINAGAR: Maruti Suzuki India launched SUV FRONX in Srinagar at Jamkash Vehicleades Nexa store. Malik Tahir Gani, Director, State Motor Garages Jammu and Kashmir did the honours in the presence of various bankers.
The SUV comes in four models. Its base model costs Rs 8.90 lakh – on the road – as the automatic model costs Rs 15.26 lakh. With 21 km per litre of petrol mileage, the SUV will have enough room for five people to move places.
Maruti’s SUV FRONX is aimed at young trailblazers who want to stand out and set the trend with their unique choices. It comes up with Modern Exteriors like Roof Rails, Wide Bonnet, Signature NEXWave Grill, Chrome Garnish, signature NEXTre crystal block DRLs exemplifying NEXA`s unmistakable “Crafted Futurism” design language for the FRONX and Sweeping LED Rear Combination Lamps running across the width of the vehicle. Its interiors are elegant and envisage a special forged metal-like matte finish on the dashboard.
The SUV comes with a 1.0L K-Series Turbo Booster jet Direct Injection Engine for the first time featuring progressive smart hybrid technology. Its turbo booster engine will be available with the choice of 5-speed manual transmission and a 6 Speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Besides, it comes with an advanced 1.2L K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT Engine which offers idle start-stop technology and transmission options of 5-speed manual and AGS. The other facilities include Head-up Display, 360 view cameras, a wireless charger,6 airbags, Suzuki Connect and a 9-inch HD Smart Play Pro+ Infotainment system with wireless Apple car play and Android auto connectivity.
Representatives from the State Bank of India, Mahindra Finance, HDFC Bank, Cholamandalam Finance and JK Bank were also present. The vehicle was virtually unveiled by JamKash MD, Irfan Ahmad Narwaroo and CEO Aawan Ahmad Narwaroo.
