SRINAGAR: The killing of a doctor in a militant attack at Gagangeer, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal, has left his family grieving and Budgam district in shock.
Six other innocent people were also killed in this brutal attack. The incident has shaken the valley, leaving people in deep sorrow.
The doctor, a father of three, was known for serving the community and his faith. News of his sudden death has brought sadness to his village in Budgam. The attack, which happened late at night, has left the whole village in tears, local news agency KINS reported.
“We are all suffering. The doctor who was with us yesterday is now gone,” a local elder said.
The doctor was respected for his dedication to his profession and was seen as a role model. Villagers remember him as an honourable man who worked tirelessly. “I will always remember Dr Sahib for his efforts. He was still young but gave his life to his work,” said another mourner.
As the village deals with the shock, many have condemned the attackers. “This is not just a loss for our family, but for the nation, as other innocent people were also killed,” a resident said. “He was a kind and happy man, but fate had other plans.”
Political leaders have also condemned the violence and called for justice. “Everyone is united in grief and anger. Those responsible for this cowardly act must be brought to justice,” said Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, a senior political figure in Budgam.
The village of Budgam is in mourning as they prepare to bury their beloved doctor.
