SRINAGAR: Following a pause of 24 hours, a renewed exchange of gunfire erupted at the encounter site in the Redwani area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.
A police officer said that the fresh exchange of gunfire recommenced after a hiding militant opened fire on forces while debris was being cleared.
He said that the exchange of gunfire is ongoing, with further details to be provided later.
Earlier on Tuesday, two TRF terrorists, including commander Basit Dar, who carried a bounty of 10 lakh on his head, were killed in the same encounter. (KNO)
