Government of India’s representative to Jammu and Kashmir Dineshwar Sharma Wednesday said he was trying to meet Hurriyat leaders.

After meeting CPI (M) leader Yausuf Tarigami, Sharman told reporters that he expected to meet more people in coming days. “I am also trying to meet Hurriyat leaders,” he said.

“My meetings were very good. I met many people. I wish that peace returns to Kashmir. I will also try to meet Hurriyat,” Sharma said.

Sharma is on his first visit to the valley after he was appointed as interlocutor to start dialogue with all the “stakeholders” to know their “political aspirations”.

Pertinently, pro-freedom leaders have boycotted him however dozens of “deputations” called on him in last two days.
