SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir PDP candidate Yawar Shafi Banday was injured in an alleged attack by a political rival in the Balpora area of Shopian on Sunday evening.
According to initial reports, the attack occurred during an election-related confrontation. Banday was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of his injuries is still being assessed.
As per sources, the confrontation took place between AIP candidate Raja Waheed and PDP’s Yawar Shafi.
