SRINAGAR: The ongoing encounter in the Baji Maal forest area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district has claimed the lives of two soldiers.
The gunfight erupted during a search operation by security forces in the region, where they successfully made contact with concealed militants. The initial exchange resulted in the death of one army soldier, and subsequently, another soldier lost his life, bringing the total casualties to two.
The operation, as per officials, aimed at neutralising the militants, is currently underway in the Baji Maal forest area.
The region remains on high alert as security forces continue their efforts to address the prevailing threat.
