SRINAGAR: In a move to bolster administrative efficiency, the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, during its 8th meeting, has announced the appointment of Executive Officers for the Waqf Units in District Kishtwar, Rajouri, and Poonch. This decision, outlined in order No odils/wapf/2024 dated January 9, 2024, is executed under the authority granted by Section 38 of the Central Waqf Act 1995.

The appointed individuals, designated as Executive Officers for an initial term of six months, include Firdous Ahmad for District Kishtwar, Ab Qayoom Mir for District Rajouri, and Mohd. Rafiq Chesti for District Poonch. Operating under the overall supervision of the J&K Waqf Board, these officers are entrusted with crucial responsibilities in their respective districts.

The order also signifies the relieving of previously serving Administrators/Executive Officers in the mentioned units, establishing a transition to the newly appointed officials. This strategic personnel change is anticipated to contribute to the seamless functioning of Waqf Units in the designated districts.

Additionally, concerned parties have been directed to immediate compliance with the new appointments.
