SRINAGAR: Aditya Sharma, son of the BJP legislator from the Hiranagar Assembly constituency, had gone missing on Tuesday and was later traced to the national capital, where he had travelled to meet his sister, who is pursuing her studies.
Officials said Aditya’s sister informed the family after locating him. He was on his way back home, they said.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Police had launched an overnight search operation after receiving information about his disappearance, with teams checking various locations, including bus stands and railway stations.
Police also examined CCTV footage for clues about his movements.
Aditya, a Class 11 student, was reportedly seen boarding a bus at around 5 pm on Tuesday and travelling towards an unknown destination before he was traced to New Delhi.
